What
is the composition of CorrectDeck?
CorrectDeck is crafted from
recovered hardwood fiber and
rugged, UV-stabilized polypropylene.
CorrectDeck combines a unique
polypropylene-based formula
with a highly advanced manufacturing
process to yield a superior
material. CorrectDeck was the
first composite decking manufacturer
to use polypropylene instead
of polyethylene. Polypropylene
(think of Tupperware® or
red gas cans) makes it stronger,
stiffer, and lighter than other
composites, so it can span longer
distances and withstand higher
temperatures with less expansion
and contraction.

What is the proper
way to handle and store CorrectDeck?
CorrectDeck should
be stored on wood supports placed
approximately every three feet
and under a dry lumber cover
or tarp. Rainwater that wouldn’t
stain a deck will stain stacked
lumber, so remember to keep
it dry.

Will
the color on every CorrectDeck
board be the same as the material
produced at a different time?
No, as with lumber, slight variations
in color may exist from board
to board. Prior to cutting and
installing deck boards, layout
boards on deck to achieve a
desired appearance. If in the
unlikely situation that a board
may not match the other boards
on your deck to your satisfaction,
please return the board to the
retailer for exchange prior
to installation.

Why do my Coastal
Grey boards have a brown cast?
Coastal Grey boards
may have a brown cast due to
an artifact of the brownish
color of the recovered wood
fibers used to make the product.
This exposed wood fiber weathers
to a gray color quickly and
the brown or reddish cast will
fade away.
