Products Appoints Peter Anania as CEO
BIDDEFORD, Maine
- Correct Building Products, LLC (CBP) is
pleased to announce Peter V. Anania of Windham,
Maine has been named President and CEO of
the company, known for its sustainable,
composite CorrectDeck decking and outdoor
building supplies. Anania will manage the
day-to-day operations at the company and
guide efforts to grow its business in the
U.S. and abroad. He will report to the company's
Board of Directors.
Anania comes to CBP with
35 years of management and operational experience.
After beginning his career in the banking
sector, he owned several Maine manufacturing
companies, including the former building
materials manufacturer/retailer, L C Andrew,
now known as Maine Cedar Log Homes. He most
recently has served as a principal of Leaders,
LLC, a business consulting firm based in
Portland, Maine and Boston, Massachusetts.
"Having been associated
with the company since 2001 as a member
of the board, I believe in the multitude
of opportunities that lie ahead for Correct
Building Products," noted Anania. "Marty
Grohman's vision for the company is to accelerate
its growth and move it to the next level
of its life cycle. He has asked me to help
lead the company and fulfill this vision
of increasing sales and profitability, which
I enthusiastically agreed to do."
Grohman, who co-founded
Correct Building Products in 1999, has led
the company and brought it to its current
position as the global leader in polypropylene
composite building supplies. He has overseen
product developments including the ultra-low
maintenance CorrectDeck CX decking, the
incorporation of recycled polypropylene
into CBP products and tremendous growth
in the company's export markets.
Grohman will continue to
serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors
and promote the company's green initiatives
and encourage the decking and building supply
industry to improve its sustainability.
He noted, "We've been making innovative
products for environmentally-minded consumers
since the beginning. With the market for
green building products growing, it will
be a benefit to have Peter's expertise to
help build on our strengths and improve
our market share."
Addendum, 02/25/08 - In
addition to his new position at CBP, Mr.
Anania continues to serve in his role as
a principal at Leaders, LLC.
