Correct Building
Products' July Sales are a Record;
Bucks Trend in Housing Market
 |
BIDDEFORD, Maine
- Correct Building Products announced that
July 2008 sales of their composite outdoor
building materials were a record, with a
16 percent increase over June and nearly
40 percent over 2006 sales during the same
period.
"We are obviously delighted that we
are seeing this growth, especially at a
time when the housing market is in such
difficulty," stated Peter Anania, CEO
of the company. "It shows us that people
are still adding value through outdoor living
spaces to their homes either for their own
enjoyment or for sales purposes."
Orders for CorrectDeck CX, Rapid Rail and
the new CorrectPorch products are keeping
the company's 24-7 manufacturing operation
running at full steam. All three products
are made from recycled hardwood and polypropylene,
with the CorrectDeck CX and RapidRail lines
serving the top-end market for consumers
wanting a sustainable, high-performance
product.
These decking products are made with a recycled
content of 80 percent recycled wood and
plastic and feature antimicrobial product
protection and UV inhibitors to prevent
stains, mildew and fading. The company added
new colors to the CX line this year, along
with Mix and Match RapidRail kits to enable
builders to create custom looks for their
buyers. The products come with a limited
lifetime warranty.
CorrectPorch, a sustainable architecturally-correct
tongue and groove flooring, was designed
for traditional covered porches and introduced
in April of this year. Like CorrectDeck
CX and RapidRail, the porch boards won't
rot, splinter or warp like traditional wood.
"The demand for green products is increasing,
and consumers are looking for long-lasting,
low-maintenance solutions that also look
great," noted Michael Salazar, Materials
Management at TW Perry in Maryland. "The
CorrectDeck family of products continues
to be a strong-performer for outdoor living."
