Correct Building
Products Introduces CorrectPorch™
Tongue and groove
flooring offers green builders an option
for covered porches
BIDDEFORD, ME
- Correct Building Products, LLC, maker
of sustainable CorrectDeck and RapidRail
outdoor building materials, is pleased to
present its CorrectPorch,
a high performance, low maintenance, tongue
and groove outdoor floor board, to the market.
"Homeowners and builders
nationwide are working on historic renovations
or adding porches to new homes to provide
outdoor spaces for socializing and relaxing,
and we wanted to provide this market with
a sustainable composite product that doesn't
have the splintering, deterioration or maintenance
issues associated with traditional wood
porch planking," noted Mike Descoteaux,
marketing manager for the company.
CorrectPorch
features the historically accurate dimensions
that fit with a tongue and groove connection
and match the architectural specifications
of traditional
covered porches. Building on nearly
20 years of innovation in manufacturing
composite outdoor building materials, Correct
Building Products has improved upon earlier
composite flooring materials and CorrectPorch
offers features not available on similar
products.
CorrectPorch is made from
an environmentally-sustainable 60/40 recycled
hardwood and polypropylene mix that resists
sagging and will qualify for LEED points
from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The boards feature a patent-pending,
hidden spacer bead design that allows the
product to expand and contract with seasonal
temperature changes and maintain the proper
spacing between boards.
Every CorrectPorch board is factory drilled
every 16 inches for easier installation
and CorrectPorch Screws will be available
soon. These are stainless steel, trim head
screws for long lasting durability and performance
to match that of the porch.
CorrectPorch
comes in a natural gray color with a subtle
wood grain pattern. Color-matched stair
treads are now available. The 1 1/8"
x 5 ½" profile provides added
strength for stair applications. CorrectPorch
trim profiles are also available for finishing
the outer edges of the porch. All composite
components of the CorrectPorch family may
be primed with a recommended alkyd porch
primer and finished with a high-quality
porch and floor paint.
CorrectPorch, when properly
installed and maintained according to Correct
Building Products' published installation
and care instructions, is warranted for
as long as you own your home, against rot,
structural decay, splitting, checking, splintering,
or termite damage under normal conditions
of decking/porch use and exposure. |
